Trigger Point Therapy

A trigger point is a tender nodule located in a taut band of muscles in the tissue, which effects not only the muscle where the trigger point is located, but also causes referred pain in tissues supplied by nerves.

  • Passive Trigger Point causes the referred pain if it is pressed.
  • An Active Trigger Point causes the referred pain constantly.

A combined approach of deep tissue work and shockwave therapy leads to general activation and smoothing of the affected area to increase circulation locally and break down muscular tension.
